Something not quite .... right about that particular picture.   Nothing wrong, mind you, just not quite right ......

The scene looked pretty good to me at the time!

I'll be heading that way next week for a 2-3 week stay at New Smyrna Beach. Unfortunately, can't haul 2 bikes so I'll be taking the F650 so that I can do some forest road riding in the Ocala NF. Took the Guzzi last year and did the Key West thing. The ride down and back was great but Key West is just the same as it was a few years ago only worse.
Once you go over the hill, you pick up speed!

I mean, look at his face.

He's totally embarrassed thinking "Oh my God we both showed up at the party wearing the same outfit!! I'll NEVER come here again if SHE'S going to be around ...."

Actually, I think he has something entirely different on his mind.

I'll try to make it to Martin's, weather permitting. I have the day off from work.

Still a little early but weather is starting to look pretty good for Daytona Bike Week.

We NEED it.

I'm swamped with work and responsibilities but I'm still planning on being there for Martin's Thursday.

The Pantheon thing was big last year.  Lots of folks.  PYoung and I made it, as did many others.

Looks like me and a buddy are riding in from Texas.   Of the two events (Monday nite and Thursday at noon) which is the larger gathering?

Last year the Monday gathering was about 30, Thursday at Martin's was about a dozen.  Food at Martin's is much better!  These two events are just the tip of the iceburg.  Where are you staying?

Hey guys, Bill here.  Still bikeless, but like Dan was hoping to see some old friends this year.  My business partner is on maternity leave, so I'm playing one-armed paper hanger putting out fires and I have someone flying in from DC on Thursday to meet with me, so there is no way I can make Martin's.   Is Monday night at Pantheon's still on or has that been replaced by the Martin's lunch?  Will try to make the VA and NC Rallies this year, even if I have to rent the V-Strom again.

Bill, thought you had fallen off the face of the earth!    Sorry to hear that you're bikeless, glad to hear that you're busy, and don't forget that Life is about the Journey, not the destination.   Gotta stop and smell the hot exhaust every once in a while!

See you this summer ....

Hi Bill.  AFAIK, Pantheon Pizza is on for Monday night dinner, March 9th, around 6:00 pm.

Seeing my surgeon for a post-op assessment tomorrow; hope to see everyone at Daytona next week!

Same here.  Will be seeing mine on the 5th.  Spinal Stenosis.  I can't get on my motorcycles (that's why I purchased the Miata) and keeping my balance is very difficult when I attempt to walk.  I'm going to try and make Martins but Pantheon's is out.

FYI:

Red Ember Motorcycles has been running the following ad on the various Florida Craigslist listings:

FREE MOTO GUZZI AND APRILIA DEMO RIDES (Daytona Beach)

BIKE WEEK 2015 IS COMMING UP.

With that said RED EMBER CYCLES will have 3 locations to serve you. Daytona International Speedway, Riverside park, and 594 Ballough Rd.

Red Ember Cycles is your local Moto Guzzi, Aprilia, Vespa, Piaggio dealership, located at 594 Ballough Rd, in Daytona Beach. Come on down and check out our 3 sites, meet some new people and take a free demo ride on a brand new Motto Guzzi.

If you need any info on our events during bike week please fell free to call us at 386-226-0068

Nice to see that Guzzi will have a presence at the Speedway, even if it is not a factory presence.  Here's hoping they bring plenty of brochures, t-shirts and swag.

***** NEWSFLASH*****SPECIAL  ALERT********* NEW PROPOSED EVENT AT BIKE WEEK *****

Okay, we have a new stellar event to propose during the many festivities at Daytona Bike Week this year.

OATMEAL MORNING !!!!!  THE OATMEAL RUN !!!!!

Heyy! How about that!!???

Pyoung and I have already been talking about doing it and I thought "why not open it up to the masses" and see if anyone else would like to participate in this culinary zenith.

The location will need to be at Mary's in St. Augustine and we can choose a morning that best suits everybody.  We could even lead a ride up the scenic (A1A) coastal highway along the Atlantic Ocean.  It would be a short morning ride and culminate in a wonderful partaking of The Food of the Gods! The first annual Oatmeal Run!
Anybody interested?? We will need a headcount so I can give advance notice.

Wait, before making up your mind, just look at this actual image of what you can expect-

I'm in for Pantheon Monday night; albeit the food is much better at Stavros.  Maybe next year we'll go there instead.

I have to be back home on Thurs, so I cannot make Martins.
We will eat there one night during the time we're there.  It's always one of the stops we all look forward to.

Oatmeal sounds good.  What day?  morning?

I'll be at Holiday Travel Park, on the corner beside the maintenance shed.

Stephen.
