Who's this McDermot MGNOC Az. rep. fella? I've been to the Cottonwood shindig this year and Datil rally the past few years and still don't recall meeting him. Is he afraid to introduce hisself in public? Hell, JJ, I thought you were the rep. You seem to do the most effort.
Well I guess I sat next to him @ Cottonwood but he hardly said a peep. Not very outgoing.
Plan on coming to this gathering! Will bring a V9 bobber and its distant cousin a Hypermotard 1100 hope to meet and make conections. Been looking for a itinerary Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk

This Dallas Dude is soooooooo looking forward to this trip!Feel free to post more pitchers. Suggestions. Etc.What kind of food be out there? Kinda Mexican/Sante Fe stuff?
How many showed for last year? I'm toying with an idea.
The Datil Rally is the only 1 I've ever been to that if you stick around @ lunch time you also get a free lunch catered. If you're not there then, you lose. Plus it's the only Rally I've ever been to that all you have to do for a chance to win a free running bike is be registered for the Rally !! Where else can you get a deal like that? Not only that, if your bike when you get there has an issue, the MGNOC rep. will try to repair it for you so you can ride it home! Of course you have to pay for that, but still. Where else can you get deals like that at any other Rally ??
I will be going to the Datil rally, for I live only 100 miles away. I have a question for those who have been there in the past about firewood... Do riders tend to want to sit around campfires into the evening? I would assume that firewood is scarce, and I was thinking that I could always make a quick run home for a truckload of wood, if that would be helpful. What are your thoughts? I have a 1970 ambassador that I hopefully get on the road by then. It hasn't run since 1985, but supposedly the owner back then oiled up the cylinders, removed the battery, and then parked it to slowly rust in the Texas (Houston) climate. I think I shall replace the pistons/cylinders with a new set that I have, for I think that getting rid of the old chrome liners is the best thing to do to any old Guzzi. I will then 'restore' it as a rat rod, so to speak. That would be the perfect bike to take to Mexico, which is in the plans... But, again, what about firewood?

Hatch green chilies?? In season??Be still my beating heart !This is going to be awesome. I will need to bring about 20 pounds of authentic green chilies back home to Texas
Lee Davis you have good taste you bought a V9 bobber then came back and got the Stelvio, now I guess I will go with the stornello or V7 racer, since you stole the Stelvio, lol. So I will see you in NM. Bobber and a V7. I had been eyeballing the Stelvio for about a monthSent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
Your riding by yourself?
Haven't seen any info on a group ride, but I'd be more than happy to have company. I would probably go up the SRC route to Show Low then over. Hook up on the east side, say Goldfield Chevron, SE corner of US-60 and Goldfield Rd.
