End of the month!! Time to get those speeding ticket QUOTA's in!!
Radar Detector JJ...think we had a long thread on this a while ago! Solo S3 runs on batteries...no wiring needed...right there where you need it on a RAM mount!Besides..you're used to speed traps in places like Show Low...thought you had your eyes/ears peeled for these types of issues!(Just yanking your chain a bit!) :)
Y'ep. Sunday on a 2 laner in AZ. The Shell is where I refuel.
Hey JJ...before you waste, I mean enjoy those 4 hours this weekend, have you looked into whether you have Deferred Adjudication in Arizona? Would save you the time, but not the money...and depending on the county, it's either 3 or 6 months without another violation, and this "incident" will never show up on your record. Since this is offered here in Houston...thought you might check if it's offered in Sedona too...Coconino or Yavapai county...can't remember which one is the right county up there. The joy of those 4 hour courses on line is you can't just click click click thru them at a high rate of speed, they seem to be timed so you have to actually spend the full amount on each screen.Cheerio!
Anyone who speeds through Wikieup is asleep or inattentive. The signs are pretty well placed and visible, and any small town on a two-lane between two major cities is an obvious place to be alert! I won't ask who is boosting the local sheriff's numbers...
Ahhhh.....the semi-retired life. Attention span getting shorter. Just your luck to be the last in the line up. The DPS officer can't pull everyone over and cite so the last one gets it.
So back to work. I guess the downtime was just transitional.
Hot doge? My kids LOVE hot dogs!
...and they would be FREE...and as my wife often says..."If it's FREE...then it's for ME!!"
(Typo fixed )I hadnt considered the free part, just the get moving kids incentive part. That said, free is too.
Driver's Ed. class is the deferment. Kind of like probation but for moving violations.
Yeah...I get that, but it's different from Deferred Adjudication which is a court process, not a Defensive Driving course. Two separate, mutually exclusive processes. Under deferred adjudication you don't have to take the defensive driving course...you just pay the fee which is equivalent to taking a defensive driving course, and then wait the required 3 or 6 months dictated by the county. If no further infractions in that time, then, the incident doesn't show up on your record... I just don't know if that is offered everywhere...at any rate, I'm sure JJ enjoyed his 6 hours!
Totally get what you're saying but if it's still handled the same way. To be eligible for the deferment, JJ would have to go to the DDC which is court approved or ran by a gov. body. While mutually exclusive, the tie in would be that you need the DDC if you want the deferment. The court can do whatever it wants but I doubt they grant a deferment without the DDC.
