Looking for a California Sport Windshield...
« on: January 03, 2015, 10:03:35 AM »

When I bought the West Coast V11 Jackal it came with a California Sport screen and one of the brackets was missing.  I was able to score one from a fellow here and all is good.  Well since then the fellow that I bought the Jackal from found the missing bracket... great.  Now I have an extra set of brackets and no screen.

So, I happen to have another identical 2001 V11 Jackal on the East coast and, having an additional set of brackets, I could now use a California Sport screen to use on that one.

Anyone here got one that they do not need by chance...?

Thanks,
Rob

Rich,
Yeah, I would just buy a new Guzzi item from MGCycle although the Cleaerview screens are good quality.  I was looking for a good used one.
I'll wait a bit and if nothing surfaces send one home to be there when I get back.

Thanks,
Rob

Hey guess what!!!! I have a screen and brackets. I wanted to keep the brackets for maybe a future use with some batwing style fairing. Shield is all yours Rob. I'm getting new rubber on later this week, maybe we can meet up or something and I'll drop it off. Tires should be in Monday. I'll hopefully be done mounting them by weds. I already did the front. It wasn't as hard as I thought. Don't think I pinched a tube. It seems to be holding air.

That's crazy...  Perfect, if you do not want the screen then yeah, I can help with that...  ;D

Good job on the tires, it can be daunting without the proper spoons and all that but doable.

Let me know when you're rolling and we can meet up and may go for a blast.  Now that we have had some snow in the foothills we may not be able get too far into the hills but there are still some good low level roads here.

I will certainly accommodate by meeting you anywhere you like also.

Thanks Kevin, once again.   ;-T

I'll pull the shield out tomorrow. Maybe Friday after work I can swing south and you can head north. We'll meet in the middle. What ever is in the middle of Pendleton and San Diego.

Friday works for me... I can meet you closer to Carlsbad if you like.

Lemme know where and the time to head out and we can make it work.  I'll PM my phone number to you, gimme a scream when you plan to leave work.

Thanks,
Rob

And I'm the third corner of this triangle.

[Radguzzi] responded to an earlier post of mine and offered me a tall screen for my Swanee fairing. I installed it a couple of days ago and I can scarcely believe the difference. It's a whole different ride.

You guys tag me and maybe we can close the bracket.
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

I did a couple of days ago, just re-sent it...
