Heated grips temp variations on the same model?

Heres a head scratcher...

Now that im back on a Guzzi, I notice that the heated grips on my recently purchased 2020 V85TT Travel seem much hotter than on my previous 2020 V85TT Travel.

Is it possible for factory heated grips on the same model and year bike can have a noticable difference?
