What kind of things are you looking for in reference to the auction?

Anything from silly to serious Bob . We have auctioned candles that smell like castor bean oil , hand grips , a large foam cowboy hat with the Guzzi logo on its sides . Someone brought a service manual , but it really can be anything.  Others here can give better info on this , I am always so busy on Saturday evening most of the auction is missed .

We should probably look to the Mayans for advice on how to deal with shortages of gasoline and TP . Those folks had chronic shortages of both.

Hope you guys are not getting too hammered by the storm...let's hope the snow melts soon!

I heard a rumor that we might be auctioning off a certain Sultan this year...starting bid $10,000!

Does this one come with a warranty?   The last time I bought a Sultan it did not work well

Still not sure exactly which day, but Doug and I will be there along with our buddies Tina and Eric.  Tim and Deb can't make it, they need to be home for the weekend. I'll let you know more on the ETA just as soon as I can.

Cool Jon , but instead of sending a check at this date , just bring some cash . Will add your name to the list , looks like we will bust 60 at least . We will have some Marley shirts for sale at the rally if anyone needs one and hasn't pre-ordered .

Just back from our NE Colorado Guzzi club meeting, the Golden Gaggle. Six of us there, three are going to Cedar Vale! And then the man, he steps right up to the microphone.
And says (at last) just as the time-bell rings: Goodnight, now it's time to go home. And he makes it fast with one more thing...

Dan needs to be home. He has family obligations. I saw both Dan and Roger at the meeting. Roger, by the way, rode his beautiful 1200 Sport to the restaurant where we meet. First time I'd seen it. There may be more of our members showing up at your event, but there'll be three at least. We're not riding to CV together, by the way. I'm probably riding more slowly and fewer miles-per-day than the other two. We all plan to arrive on Thursday afternoon...

You get a shiver in the dark
It's raining in Hewins Park but meantime
West of the river you stop and you hold everything
A bunch of geezers riding , booming V twins
you feel alright when you hear the Guzzis ring

If you have Alchemy bring it , the version of Sultans on that live album is Knopfler's magnum opus . We can spend a few minutes exploring the evolution of the song from the weird original demo version to what Knopfler did with it . Humor me

I saw Mark in Tulsa warm up for Dylan a few years ago. Mark and his band ROCKED! That's all I'll say about that concert.   Emmylou?? She's awesome! My ex girlfriend's dad wrote a Grammy winning song for her. She's REALLY a LOVELY person. VERY Sweet! Later on a buddy played fiddle for her and got me backstage passes, she was STILL a SWEETHEART!  :boozing:
