Mine had no issues- continues to run as expected at ~5000 miles.(and I thought it was 900 mile service, not 600)
Thanks for the replies, 900 miles my bad. have any of you ever noticed that your onboard computer ever turns from an all white background to all blue and than changes back?
I did it myself, it was valve adjustment and engine oil and filter at the 900 mark. Pretty simple. Left intake valve a bit loose nothing else. I did manage to fracture one of the spark plug caps while pulling it off, I recommend a tool made for that purpose (he says after the fact LOL)The manual I got with my bike, a 2020 says first transmission and rear drive service is not until 18,000 miles. This is the lowest maintenance Guzzi yet, I believe! Nice.
It's been recommended by my highly knowledgeable dealer to also do the first trans and gearbox oil with the first service as much to make sure there's the correct amount of oil in there as it being dirty.
Interesting, but I will stick with the advice of the company that built it and provides the warranty. I do think that each service recommends checking fluid levels, however. Certainly no harm in over-maintaining, other than the waste of money and oil.
There's no way to check the trans and gearbox other than to drain it and see what comes out. I know it's not called for at the initial service but I'll feel better knowing the the right amount of oil is in there.
18,000 is marketing BS! Common sense should prevail.
LOL! You mean like reading the manual? Geez. OK guys, change away.
