Breva 1100 or Norge tank bag?
« on: May 17, 2021, 01:58:59 PM »
Hi,

What tank bags are folks using on the Breva 1100 or Norge?

 Anyone using a SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock tank bag?

Not wanting anything huge but something in the 5-9 liter range.

 Thanks in advance

I have a Givi tank bag that attaches to a ring you put on the gas cap.  I don't know how many liters it is, but not too big  It works great for wallet, keys , sunglasses, phone etc..  Very easy to take on and off.  I highly recommend it.

Looks great! where did you get the ring that attaches to the gas cap?

As I recall, the tank lock flange was the missing link at the time.  Someone from Israel I "think" was manufacturing the necessary piece and selling them on Ebay.  If you did some searching you could probably come up with one, this set up was pretty popular a few years ago.  Mine is made of some type of hard plastic, but I think he started making them in aluminum.  At any rate, my plastic one has held up over 7 or 8 years no problem.

I have a medium Fly tank bag on my Audace. It uses magnets and or straps to stay on the tank. They also make a small version.

Tank ring for ION tank bags only.. SW-MOTECH  I looked them up for my Aprilia Tuono, and the Breva uses the same gas cap.(with the same issues too)

Adapter ring for the Givi bags:
https://gtmotocycles.com/collections/other/products/gt-cnc-givi-tanklock-adapter-ring

I went with the one you posted..It really is quality, and fits perfect..3 days to get here, so quick too..

I had the Tanklock setup on my Ducati Monster with  this bag.. I did not want the plastic window for a phone, and like the side zipper pouches on this bag/MT505 ( the ST603 model has a cell window }

I do like the little 3 liter one pretty well too..

I had a SW motec kwiklok tank bag on my Norge and really liked it. I have a givi gas cap ring tank lock for my 1200 Sport and don't like it as much as the SW motec.

Much wider variety of bag options on the SW motec as well.

I use the Nelson Rigg CL-2015-MG Journey Sport Tank Bag with the straps. Really like it’s size.

I am guessing the aluminum ring on the Breve will be way better then the stock ring  givi setup.. ( no flex like a givi ring can)There are quite a few Givi bags for sale that are out of production, but still available.  The GIVI ST605 is a great bag for a Breva or Norge (IMO)Some very good prices too..I don't need great capacity, only just want to have a clear view, and no obstruction to the bars on the Breva. If I wanted more luggage space I would run the ugly stock bags instead of my sport bags..
