Looks good! :thumb:

Beautiful! Where is that color sold or is it accessory plastics?
Not sure if Ill warm to my matte grey
-
Thanks-I had it painted, took off all the plastics and re-assembled once done.
-
New emblems?
-
We were able to retain the old ones, I thought 3m double sided tape would be needed but stock badges went back on and so far so good
-
So you hit em with a hair dryer and got your finger nails or thin plastic prying device under?
Blue is a complicated color-so many shades.
-
I didnt take them off, the auto body guy did. usually heat or dental floss works.
I initially wanted to go close to a tenni green but one day while on the way home from work a mini cooper countryman passed me and I really liked the shade of blue. Looked it up online, had paint guy make me a pint and away we went
-
Yeah I like it. Just a hint of green in the color. Ford has a color that jazzes me called Blue Candy (extra $$). I’d call it electric blue-just a hint of green but lighter and brighter. Bright to the point where it might be too much, too grating. Some colors just don't work on bikes at least for me.
Im hypnotized by teal metallic cars from the ‘60s.

Really nice!!!!
-
Ain’t no geezers in here :bike-037:
-
Thanks all, Im pleased with the color...better lighting here-

I have mine out at the paint shop right now. The Green/silver is OK, but the mat finish needs the gloss. The blue looks really nice. As for the emblems, I used a heat gun and a plastic razor blade I got off Amazon.

For some reason, MG does a lot of bikes in matte, not sure how well received it is among most MG owners. I know I asked about a month ago, and most preferred gloss.
What color are you going with? At first I was thinking of going all green similar to tenni green or the cent verison in all green. I had a few shades of blue in mind and when i saw the surf blue I went with it. It really looks good on the bike.
So many colors, so few bikes....

Looks like Guzzi is finally getting the message. The new V100 Mandello in the anniversary green and silver appears to be gloss paint.
-
That's beautiful! Members of my tribe may be green with envy now, but that is beautiful!
-
Oh Yeah!!

How would it look with silver swingarm/bevelbox and hubs with polished rims ?
-
that looks very sweet! Hmmm... Mini Cooper Surf Blue you say?
-
the blue looks great.
IMO, a Huzo silverization/polishing would look great also.
I've long thought a bike painted in Terex green would standout, black racing stripe is required.

I generally don't like blue motorcycles, but that is really sweet looking. Well done!

Solid red looks good too, like the classic tank badge, same as I had on the stelvio. Is there an indentation to adhere it to or just eyeball it?
-
Thanks, I know, there are so many bad shades of blue, I was glad to find that shade.
-
I was thinking if my stock eagle badges couldnt be re-used I might have had to go that route, luckily they went on and hopefully stay on lol
-
Looks good.

Amazing how a color can affect mood almost like a taste or a smell. I like the flush clear coated big eagle decals like on the V11.
Was almost thinking bright white paint. I recently bought my first white suv, after six years of Billet Steel Metallic, and now my my V85 is a matte version of that color.
The alternative is Toyota’s Blue Flame paint. Wondering how much the set of unpainted plastic is if available…..

I wanted to show how the gloss worked out. I also added some green. (and I have the paint code for the Centenario Green!)

Much happier with the gloss.

I am just curious if any of you v85 guys have considered paint matching the case guard as well, I think that blue would look great on the bottom too!

Nicely done! DIY or professional? Would love to see a picture of the whole bike outdoors w/o the garage distractions.

I did the design and prep work, but had a friend spray the paint for me since he had an oven to bake the parts to cure. I cross posted some other pictures under the "Gloss or Matte Finish" thread. On my first Ronald V85 I did powder coat the lower pipe guards satin black and I liked it better than the silver. I will try to dig up a picture. I haven't decided if I might end up doing it to my Centenario also.
