Title: Anybody Replaced Sport 1100 Oil Cooler Lines with Aftermarket?

I ask the question as

1) I've heard the originals are not too clever and can be prone to failure
2) The lines I've got are pretty horrid

So I was thinking of replacing both banjos and lines with a better aftermarket set up. Maybe some fancy anodized fittings too

What I was wondering was has anybody done this and if so have they got any info, on line diameter, banjo type etc:

I'm not holding my breath here but its worth a try.

OJ,
I notice that you are in the UK, not certain of your suppliers or if postage to the UK from the US is a show stopper for you but, MG Cycle and others sell banjo fittings and lines of good quality for oil feed lines.  The fancy anodized ones too. 

Mine are in great shape but perhaps you have more miles on yours than I do...

I have a Sport 1100i ('97) bought new.  In early '98 there was a recall on the lines to the oil cooler.  I believe that when the shops did the recall and installed the new improved oil lines they put a center punch dot on the motor, I think where the VIN number is.
That may be US only. 
My dealer was 3 hours + away, he sent me the lines, seal washers, and torque specs and I installed them and sent back the original ones.
My lines are still good with 80K miles.

Many thanks for the replies. I'll have a wee search around Stein Dinse, Agostini's etc: and defo a look at MG cycle. I've dealt with Gordon in the past and he's always been top notch with me.

It sure makes it a bit more expensive, but what price love  ;)

Why not just send the horrid ones to Goodrich and get them replicated with whatever fittings you want? Most hydraulic hose shops will be able to make you up robust hoses. Getting them to look Bling is the hard part.

That's the problem though their are a myriad of fittings and options. That was the reason for the question in the first place.

I'm sure I could figure this out but I find lines and fittings a minefield.

I'll try Pete's suggestion and find a UK based automotive hose supplier that I can send the lines to and get a copy made.

I did not know that...  Must be the reason why mine are in such good condition.  I bought the '97 from the second owner that had been purchaced new from Moto Italiano in San Meteo, possibly Santa Cruz (now closed)

Plus I only have about 11K on that motorcycle.
