You guys are really making me want to go for a ride on mine!

Hey Ben,
I would wager that your flywheel is a Manfred lightened piece. I have dug around for pictures of the one he did for my LM but can't find anything. I'm sure I have it somewhere in an old box of pictures. Memory may diminish after 35 years but certain things stay fresh when they make such an impression. I vote for keeping it in there. If you decide not to, let me know and I'll make you a nice stand to display it on. More art for the office!

That’s not a half bad idea Steve. At the least I’m going to take a good picture and print it for the office. It would be nice having one of Manfred’s flywheels. Ben

It looks like a previous owner balanced the crank. Now I think I’ll pull the cam and crank to give them a better look. I’m wondering if the cam is stock now.

Random suggestion of questionable helpfulness: If you are going to polish the raised oval on the valve covers don't do it with the ubiquitous bench grinder-mounted wheel (mop?)
When I sent my valve covers out for vapor blasting the very knowledgeable vendor used a lap grinder to polish the raised oval to keep everything flat and not lose the sharp edges of the MOTO GUZZI lettering...
Feel free to ignore this completely
