I am not in New England, but I managed 50 miles today.  Temps in mid 50s, but overcast and dreary so did not feel warm.  Luckily, heated gear to the rescue.

I can only dream, about a foot of snow on the ground and the roads are just brown slop of gravel and salt mixture.

East Central Missouri here.  40 degrees to start and a 65 degree finish.  Light wind.  The clouds moved in and out, but we had more sun and blue skies than not.

Brought the Wife.  Well, she had gas money and she bought lunch !

I got out today, and Dec 30th, but on my V Strom 650. Too much salt for Sophia on the roads Friday, but it rained last night so today was a test. Tomorrow Sophia goes for a ride! I did about 140 miles out in PA and north of me in NJ, 42 to 49 degrees all day. I used my electrics on the way home. Pic on Lake Wallenpaupack, PA.

For many, many years, the Phoenix-area riders used to converge and ride out to Tortilla Flat on New Year's Day...

Any riders from the Valley of the Sun still participate in that run? :thumb:   :boozing:

Here on Cape Cod it was sunny and 50’s today, with gradually diminishing wind. I took the 860 Ducati out for a pre-breakfast ride, played a quiet 9 holes with my wife and daughter, then rode 30 miles on the Vitpilen as the sun was setting. If only every Sunday were like that.

I did 50 miles today in north Florida on the V7. It was a balmy 73 degrees.
Great way to start the new year.

Central Texas is pretty warm right now, after single digits 10 days ago.  Had the '04 Breva 750 out for 49 miles yesterday and the '21 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 out for 132 miles today.

You don't stop riding because you got old, etc, etc.  86 is the new 56, after all.

Rode 2-up on the V7 850 special to Countryboy Brewery in Georgetown, KY. Roundtrip of 150 miles. Overcast and chilly, but it's always nice to get out on a bike in January.

I got in about 60 miles yesterday. Mostly gravel roads. Nothing really picture worthy.  :thumb:

Blah blah blah….

Don’t get me wrong.  There was some excitement here.  I did go for a ride with my wonderful wife.. in my old truck with the trailer..  to buy & bring home a new chest freezer to replace our big old one that began to die a rapid death on New Years Eve.   Thankfully one obscure place in town had 2-3 in stock and was open on Sun Jan 1.   No answer when I called & let it ring 6-8 times, but salesman called back after I hung up. (!!)  By the time all was done- removed & installed, inspected & swapped over, etc- it was time for Sun night popcorn and cheese pie.

I did get to look longingly at my Guzzi when I was getting some tools to put the casters on the new freezer.  Maybe next Jan 1….

Turbine smooth, what a machine.
Paul used to be Guzzi Rep for Georgia back in the day. He also owns a yellow Guzzi, 1100 Sport i.

Hey Jon, I wish I had known you were coming down to Country Boy. Todd and I would have met you there. We took a short ride into Lexington on some of the back roads.  JohnB
