I still did not decide what to do ... like a woman - The buffeting is annoying- I do not like large screens or look through a screen- I do not like the looks of vents - I do not like the looks of deflectors/lowersIn the German Guzzi Forum someone even drives withouth the windshield Has somebody tried to reduce the size of the screen?
Hi Danny,do you think a stock screen will also work with your solution?
Hey All,Fascinating reading and very timely. I just bought an '03 EV touring and I know going in that the fairing is horrible and had pretty much planned on replacing it with an H&H, and, as but ugly as they are, they work. Now I'm seriously wondering if lower deflectors might allow me to work with the stock fairing. Maybe the combination of Vetter vents or a vent cut in the lower portion of the shield like Cal Sci uses to reduce back pressure, and some lowers like Dan showed us (Thanks Dan!) would solve the problem, I know this is a Cal Vin thread but anyone here have experience with the EV touring as well? Thanks,Steve M
Steve, I had an 03 EV, great bike. I did a mess of research until I was able to fit a plexifairing 3 on my EV and it worked great, offering maximum air and element control. The fairing that fit mine was for a Honda shadow 750. I can’t remember which size clamps it took to fit the forks but plexifairing worked with me until we got it right.
Did you have to do any cutting or reshaping on the windshield itself or only to get the right positioned mounts? Attachments are hose clamps that will fit most fork tubes and clamps on the handle bars.
Which Cal Sport did you use?
