I appreciate the Harpers and all they've done to keep the Guzzi hobby going.

Thanks for posting the link to the great article. It was meaningful to me as I lived in Japan for six or seven years and my family did quite a bit of motorcycling over there. I got a kick out of the mention of the track at Yokota airbase. Yeah buddy I was there cutting it up! And so was my dad and brother. Good times! I was there a few years after the senior Harper of course but I remember the Lilac and Meguro, Tohatsu, also bunches of cool domestic model Hondas. I owned a Tohatsu and a Honda Sport Cub Scrambler. My dad had a CB 350 and we also had two brand new HT-1 enduros. Good times!
Again thanks for posting that. It is a good insight to a man who has helped keep a lot of guzzi's on the road.

Mike's a good man, although I didn't get to know him until 1989 or so.

Interesting how war enemies find peace through common interests, sports. More hobbies, please.

I wish for a sequel to this life story, the Guzzi part.
Take care, Mike.

I raced at Yokota, Tampa tech, Fuji, and many other tracks, we even had drag races on base at Yokota. I was in the AJMC motorcycle club at Tachikawa 61 to 64, and 67 to 69. Knew lots of the Navy guys, but didn’t meet Mike until AJMC reunion in the 80’s.
