Thanks jas67! I've been riding black or silver motorcycles most of my life. I wanted something a little different.

I had to park it out front so I could see it as I retouch pics, smoke hookah, and drink beer.

Finally figured out what I want painted on the tank! can't wait to find someone to do it.

I recently sold the GMC to a guy in Canada.  The plan was to use the truck to take the a bike or two to local shows as a "team" but never got around to it. It was a nice truck... 34K on the odometer that I was told was original miles and I believe it... absolutely no rattles of any kind. It had a repaint at some point but was otherwise very nice.

Not really.  It was my second time there...1st time on the Guzzi.  Did it 2 years ago on a KLR.  Fuel was not an issue since the NTX made it to the midway stop with no issues what so ever.  The the Damn Dam tour, went out to the bay and drank some beers. Had some of the best ribs I have ever had (and I have had a lot of ribs at some pretty top notch places) in a little place in Radisson.  Almost worth a ride back up.

Did drop it on the side of the road in what I thought was gravel but turned out to be sand...none the less got away with no damage...other than melting my riding pants on the exhaust when it tipped over....better the pants than the leg.

Guzzi performed relatively flawless.  The lack of premium fuel seemed to play a little havoc on my engine temp sensor.  Lit up the service light when it was cold and then went off when hot. Check the codes and pointed to the engine temp sensor.  Not sure what to attribute it to other than the fuel.  Got home and put in a tank of premium and no more light...so be it.

Bill,

Would you mind telling me about the cafe' fairing on your SP?

I've got an '87 SP2. As much as I love the bike, I simply do not care for the stock fairing. Would very much like to go with something similar to yours.

A little help?

Thanks in advance,

Brian

This was my last Guzzi acquisition.  It's an original, unrestored, 1973 V7 Sport.
