Nice Sport, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.  But it would break my heart to sell a LeMans 1.

Hi, I am new to this group but not to Moto Guzzi. Back in the late 70s and early 80s I was a mechanic at a Guzzi Dealership in Oklahoma City. I did most of the Guzzi repair work for the shop. I built the cafe racer pictured above when I found a race fairing hanging in that back of Cal's shop. Cal was the long time Guzzi dealer in OKC and the Indian dealer before that. He was a great guy. He passed away and that's how we became the Moto Guzzi dealer. The tail piece is my own design as I was trying to capture the look of a Laverda RGS. I still like it but it seems no one else does. The bike was an 850 T3. It was fun to ride and since I used the stock seat foam it was actually quite comfortable. I was a poor mechanic at the time so I didn't have the resources to do all the mods I wanted to do. It had home made rear-sets, clip on bars and I have always hated the diamond seat upholstery. It was done by a friend and he was so proud of it I didn't have the heart to tell him i just hated the look. The tail had storage. You just pulled the seat pad back and there was room for gloves or other small items in a weather tight compartment. This was the only Guzzi I have actually owned but I rode a 1000 Convert automatic for several months. It was a trade in, full dress and quite a unique experience. I got used to being lazy and not shifting.

I like it too.  I agree about the seat and tailpiece, but overall that bike really looks the business.

I like it too -  I always wonder why the first thing to go when making a cafe Guzzi is the tank - the stock piece is beautiful and fits perfect with your design.

I bet the sound of that beast was glorious....

Yes, the stock Guzzi tank is beautiful. I have a buddy of mine shoot the whole thing in China Red. The finish was very good. The mufflers were something I scrimped on. I wanted some reverse cone Dunstall mufflers but had to settle for the shorty mufflers. I think they were $19 each. I sold it to a guy and I heard later that he stripped a gear in the transmission. I always wondered what happened to it.

Beautiful, I want my Stone to look like this in the future. Can I get a build list? Did you wrap your stock seat or is that a custom job?

This is my first Moto Guzzi but hopefully not my last.

I've been fascinated with Guzzi's for years and have always wanted one.  The 3 critical factors (availability, $$$, and garage space) aligned and I was able to bring this 2002 V11 LeMans home.  I'm loving the experience!

Brother!

 :D :D :D

Gorgeous bike you have there! By the way, if you ever for some crazy, crazy reason feel you no longer want or need the Euro front fairing, headlight, and headlight frame assembly, then please please PLEASE contact me!!! The awful US-Spec square headlight is the only letdown on such an otherwise achingly-beautiful design, and I'm absolutely itching to swap it out for the Euro fairing/headlight should that rare opportunity ever present itself (pretty sure I have better odds at winning the lottery).

Hi Goose. In this case I think I can safely say that yellow IS the fastest colour ! Unfortunately for you, the headlamp and fairing assembly will be staying firmly attached for the foreseeable future. Sorry.

I used to have the same bike, color and all, and still think it's one of the prettiest Guzzi's out there.  Enjoy.

Thanks but no way I'm downgrading to a Fiat!  That's a 2003 Cooper and I'm pushing 130K miles and it's still going strong.  Most fun I've ever had on 4 wheels!
