My V7 on the Gooseneck at Isle of Man during TT fortnight. One way with no speed limit

Point of Ayre lighthouse

Ballaugh Bridge at The Raven pub for a light refreshment

Creg Ny Baa pub for another light refreshment

Watching sunset over mountain course at Windy Corner ...

Love your bike. I was looking at getting a v7 racer, love the bling, but the more I see of the special, the more i like it. What's the deal, you have polished rims, (Like I want) were they originally black, all the specials I've seen in the black and orange have black rims. Did you strip and polish yours?
Next thing to do, strip the paint off the forks and polish them. It will look the business.

Originally bought to be a donor bike for a cafe racer project, but I fell in love with it the way it was. (underneath the dowdy hepco boxes.) Didn't want to mess with it. Besides, the draconian Singapore laws would probably make any mods illegal. Not worth the risk. I Got rid of the side boxes and passenger seat. (Wife refuses to ride with me,..... wonder why?) Love the fenders, Chromed the front fender, doing the rear one soon. Put 32 inch stainless western bars on and changed the switchgear for aluminium ones from an EV - Vintage. Thinking of chroming them too. Put an extra caliper up front and wave twin blade discs. It stops scary fast now. Best upgrade so far! Put on a main stand off ebay. Chromed the centrestand of course,.... going to chrome everything possible! Chrome grips, headlight and visor, rectangular mirrors off a honda. (Bigger rear view than originals and don't look too shabby either), lucas tail light and relocated signals. Damn if I'm running out of presents to buy for it! Any suggestions guys?

Next step is an anodised red, mirror finish paint job on the tank and side covers,  Bellagio tank badges, Racing stripe, heritage stickers, while I chrome the rear fender and whatever else I can,..... can't wait!

Hoping to satisfy my desire for a cafe racer guzzi with a V7 special, with minor mods. In the meantime, I'll have to do with my customised CB750 nighthawk.

Very nice! My packing strategy is cram as much stuff on as I can and use lots of straps and bungee cords. Looking pretty isn't a consideration lol!

Hi all,
Just joined Wildgoose & want to participate in this thread.  My dad was the original owner.

.....
I rode this bike only once (about 30 years ago) and wasn't comfortable with the right hand shifting in Los Angeles traffic.  It didn't bother my dad at all as he was a demon in the Santa Barbara sweeping canyons!
It has been stored in the garage since 1993.

Nice V7 Sport!

I just go my first right-shift bike ('68 Ducati Monza).   I acclimated to the right shift much more easily than I thought I would.

You might want to give it a go, esp. if you can get a to a lower-traffic (than LA) area to do it.   Otherwise, it can be converted.     Others here know way more than I do on that topic, but, I think that I could potentially be as simple as getting some parts from later, left shift bike such as a T3.

Look more closely, specifically at the shape of the jugs and heads.     That is a pre-2013 V7 Classic with the 2TB motor and chromed steel wheels.

IIRC, the owner did it up in 750S livery (which is what the 2014 Special is meant to look like) when he was fixing it up after a crash.

Oh I love these!  I'm in.

At the 2005 West Virginia National

Just after the Wisconsin Rally this year.

It's a 2001 V11 Sport that I bought in 2004.  Stock AFAIK besides the Teckno bags and two bent rims that will be fixed this winter if the money works out.  Used to have heated grips but I replaced them with some softer grips.  (I wear gloves anyway)  Want to do a lot of upgrades in the future (part of why I'm here) including but not limited to pipes, seat, HB bags, and paint and powdercoat work thanks to years of living on gravel roads.  But I have been very satisfied with her stock so far so I'm not in too big of a hurry.  Currently at 30k miles most of them put on by me and looking forward to a lot more.  Planning on the 2010 National if I'm not broke by then.

And this is my other Guzzi.  '98 EV wrecked in '03.  Messed me up worse than the bike.  Hopefully both of us will be back to 100% or better some day.  I'm either rebuilding it or pulling the motor and making a cafe project with it as I miss my old 850T.  Of course my limited mechanical knowledge, youth, and profession are holding me back from completing this so far.  I have no pics of my older Guzzi or my Yamaha scanned on the computer yet but stay tuned.
