3000 miles on mine, only because Tampa FL doesn't seem to have any good biking roads.

That sure is Purdy !

The '71 Ambassador "Barney" I sold to John Fisher - carrying the "baton" back in June.

I can't tell you how many times I read the Barney blog.  Very cool motorcycle, that one.  John Fisher gots himself a good bike.

My first Guzzi. 2001 Cal Special bought new from Wilson's in fresno who dropped Guzzi a few months after I bought it. It's going on 40k and has been dead reliable. Wilbers shocks, Mistral muffs, Guzzitech crossover, Jet hot coated headers, modified airbox, custom mapped PC3, Givi windscreen, HB bags, etc.

87 Lemans 1000 that I picked up about a year and a half ago. Suffered several electrical gremlins that all were all failed crimp connections. Seems to be reliable now.
Basically stock with K&N's, Dyna 3, Corbin Seat, and Guzzitech crossover. Sure would love to find some Ago reatsets for it and some Lafranconi silencers.

2007 Norge....it was red at one time but I had it painted silver so it would at least look fast.

Not much to tell really. It's my Guzzi. Been through thick and thin. It has taken me places I never would have seen otherwise and managed to leave me stranded when least expected... but only a couple of times. It is after all a Guzzi. It has the most character of any bike I've owned and It'll reside in my garage until I can no longer throw a leg over it. Then I'll pass it on to my son. Kind of payback for having been a teenager at one time. Besides, he likes it. I guess we're both gluttons for punishment. Like all great motorcycles the Goose gives more pleasure than it takes.  ;D

Re: Show me your Guzzi - a V65 Lario
« Reply #42 on: October 19, 2008, 12:31:29 AM »
Here's my running Lario.

Bought in 2002 with 47,000 km and spent a lot of time fixing all the little niggles.  PO had sprayed WD40 on the brake disks to stop them rusting - the only problem with that is it also stopped the brakes from working.  Lots of other things to do as well.

Did over 10,000 km but is currently not in regular use, pending exhaust valve replacement.  Don't want to destroy a cylinder head now, do we!  ;-)

Could only get standard V65 mufflers at the time, but they will now clear the bags I purchased from the US via eBay recently.  Don't believe in spoiling a good bike with bags but...

Handlebars are swan neck touring rise, instead of the factory clip-ons.

Cheers  ;-)

Beautiful shots, all, but Guzzis are best appreciated at speed. That usually means they are all alone at the frotn of the pack, as my Eldo so often finds itself. Phots of such are few, unfortunately.

'72 Ambassador "Sophia" as she looked at VMD '06. Convert engine, 850T3 transmission. Recently sold to my friend Ron Zello.

Does anyone else think that is the most wonderful color scheme out?  (Apart from the black rocker covers?)

Is it a factory scheme?

Maybe I like it because that's how the 500 Nuovo Falcone came out in australia.  I bought one...

Cheers

I bought the LM4 in 86'. It's had various cosmetic makeovers and the heads have been flowed.
The Griso is to new to have been mucked around with yet.
