Just did 772 miles in just under 25 hours, avoiding all highways, till the "end burn" home, an absolute f#@*ing blast!!!

Was just re-reading this.  Henry, that's a 31mph overall average.

What were you doing with all your extra time on that ride?

That should be a 12 to 15 hour run...

 ;)
I stayed off any major highways, opting for purposefully getting lost on a lot of little cool roads with small towns. Also includes gassing up and stretching, meals/a few road pops and 3 1/2 hours sleep. It wasn't so much of a run, as a time to let the mind unwind...Here's Pikes Peak Observation deck just before, and at sunrise...almost a religious experience...

Forget the Guzzi. Is that a TVR in the garage?!? Now that speaks of good taste!

A little Spam on the side, but...

Do you need a copy of the factory Parts Manual for your TVR? It's a 2500M, isn't it?

I made a copy from when I had my TVR, converted it to a PDF file and burned some copies to disc. PM if you'd like one.

01 Cali Special had 1300 miles when I purchased her 3 weeks ago.  Added the passenger backrest/luggage and the HB luggage set.  She has 2700 miles now - not even broken in.  Has a corbin seat, and i'll be getting a back rest for myself.

My '76 Convert dosen't even belong in this company, but it is mine. It's been sitting 10 years but it's running well now. I just gotta get them darn brakes working. The front fender may have to be changed.

Hi,

Some earlier older photos of my 86 Le Mans 1000.. now has round headlight & Givi fairing , going strong after 16 years of ownership & a couple 100 000kms. Just serviced ready for the run to Moto GP at Phillip Island. Also picof 4 pots conversion off early Sport 1100 converted to original 270mm discs... best mod I've made, she stops well instead of "sedating slowly" like when I 1st got her. A different slant on Aussie home brew capabilities ;)

Thanks man!

The BUB 'Hyper' exhaust system has a nice deep sound, but is not obnoxious.

I little cleanup and then a polished front fork/telescope from a Nevada, and she almost looks like when she came out of Mandelleo in '92.

That's a beauty Brian!  Tell me how she goes down the road.  How is the power delivery?  I love it.

Hi Kev
Thank you for the kind words.
To put it brief, she is a blast.
She does not have the top end power of the Lario. I'll fix that later with the 8 valve 750, I'm rebuilding.
She is rock solid on the roads, and handles great. She will do 110Mph, but is a blast @ 75-80Mph.
She has a flat torque line like the V7C/Nevada, and can go on and on and has enough power on both the highways, freeways and in the city.

I bought her in Holland for 500€. The PO was fet-up with her, as she had blown the big-end.
It later appeared, that he had run her dry of oil.
I bought her to sell her again and make a buck.
I found out that she was rare - only around 300 ever made.
Then I took her for the first ride after having replaced the big-end and bearings - and that turned everything around.
SHE BECAME A KEEPER.
Hard to explain to the wiphy, but she is now a highly valued member of my small block collection.
My preferred ride, although I enjoy all my baby geese.

The V65 is such a wonderfull all round bike.
The V65 mill has a few more ponies than the 48hp of the 750. (52hp)
Torque line slightly more narrow, but still a real fun bike to ride.
Actually - the V65 is by some perceived to be the most efficient version of the small block mills.

Great looking bike Nick! Looks like it just left Mandello!
Great detailing - do you have time to give my geese a workover  ;D :D ;)

Coming along nicely I would say.  It would be fun to re-show the before pic, and the rusty crusty barrel, for comparison.

ZoomZoom,
Love that bike and setup. Where did you get those great racks that fit over top of the hard side bags? You could carry a ton of gear set up like that. Something like this might lure me away from the 750 club....
