You've really got that Breva set up nicely, Dean.  I like the looks of the fairing.  Who makes the topbox and the engine guards?  I know you've mentioned this before but what is your setup on the replacement handlebars and how much height and pullback did you gain?  Thanks.

The top box is a 40liter Hepco/Becker and so are the rack and engine guards. Givi A-760 fairing mounted with the stock Guzzi windshield hardware. The rods were cold bent to match up with the holes in the fairing. The handlebar riser is from Mike Bui down in Texas. The bar clamps are Breva Sport ones and the bars are Aprilla Mana.
It wasn't cheap to do this but that's what I wanted.

About the only thing I want add to the Breva now is a crossover to get rid of the heat from the Catalytic Converter. I will also replace the stock seat with a Corbin one to correct the problem of sliding forward onto the tank when rideing.

My new, (to me) EV, with its 8.75 gallon tank. Being displayed by Iron Mike.

ZoomZoom,
Love that bike and setup. Where did you get those great racks that fit over top of the hard side bags? You could carry a ton of gear set up like that. Something like this might lure me away from the 750 club....

Well, the PO had the rack welded onto the original rear rack. yes, it is quite large and carry a lot of stuff. I actually removed it because it was not to my liking for how I use the bike. It is for sale, BTW. It would fit a '98 to '01 EV and probably Jackal from those years. Possibly others as well, I don't know.

Its probably too big for a 2007 Nevada, but will keep that in mind should I ever get Cal EV, which could be my next bike whenever that happens--not real soon. Thanks

Great bikes!
I must be so great to share the interest for bikes with your farther.

My Farther is 80 by now, in his youth he rode a 250cc BSA (he can't remember the model). His has always been a mechanical buff, but we never got to ride together. He never got a bike after selling the BSA. My mom kinda killed the interst off on him, and I only started riding again a few years ago.

Enjoy this while you can.
It must be great music, when both engines are stretching out.    ;-T

This is my latest acquisition, it may be in a million bits but it is a 1981 MK2 Le-Mans with the bits and pieces to make it into a MK1 clone. Claimed to have done about 19,000 miles. and unused for the last 20 years. Main journals and big ends are unmarked as are the Nikasil bores. The gearbox also shows no signs of any wear on the dogs or gear teeth. I'm in the process of renewing the seals and gaskets etc, the original timing chain and tensioner have been given the heave-ho to be replaced with new chain and auto tensioner. There's a new clutch and U/J and it's got forks with adjustable damping. It  needs a pair of shocks, rewiring and new tyres.

All in all I should have a nice enough bike by the time I've finished.

Here it is

Here's where it goes:

Bought in '87, 48,000 miles.  Others have come and gone but this one stays.  Has some of the usual period mods from RaceCo, and aftermarket.

Currently with Bub header/Emgo "Dunstall Decibels"
K&Ns,
Ed Milich "Final Udate" jetting http://www.guzzitech.com/lemansjetting-ed.html
Light throttle springs
Removed external throttle return springs
Agostini timing gears
Dyna III ignition & coils
Accel wires
390 Cam (probably not needed, wasn't the 390 a B10?)
Lightened flywheel/ring gear
FAC dampers and Progressive springs (going in now)
18" FW
SS brake lines, still integrated
100/55 Halogen w/ HL relay
Halogen hi output parking light (don't remember wattage)
Ignition switch relay (only relay coil current goes through switch now)
SS valves
Bronze guides w/ seals
3-angle seat grind
CC'd combustion chambers & intakes
Solid rocker spacers
Used to have built in radar detector, no longer, living in VA
Michelin Macadam (much better life and ride than Metzeler ME33/ME99 combo)
Seat by whoever made it.  I found it hanging at Moto America about 20 years ago.  Still nice.
Other doo-dads I've forgotten over the years.

Nice Guzzi I just can't seem to part with.

Cheers,

Tobit

Here is my recently acquired 1979 G5. The previous owner carefully cared for the bike and I hope to do the same. The downside ... it is 3 days away and I cannot get there till spring. Till then ... dreamin'  :)

Many questions to follow  :D

Very nice  ;)

LOL.  Thanks guys.

I have one other Guzzi, a Monza.  It's a basket at the moment just waiting for me to find (make?) time to finish the cosmetic refurb and get it back on the road.  Needs paint and cases blasted.  Simple stuff.

 ;)

Nice G5.  Hope you can collect it soon.

Didn't imagine until about 2001 that i would be a Guzzi man.
First ride was a Centauro in yellow, coooool. Loved the flatish wide bars and the whole "presence" of the 4 valver. The tempter was the 400 km ride on a lemon green V11 Sport - wow what a message that thesse Guzzis have something different.
Then in 2007 with my trips to the local Italian bike shop with my Aprilia I fell for the lines of the Griso. Rode a red 1100 then last year rode a black 8V 1200 - stunning ride. I believed then that a well ridden Griso on a gnarly back country road would not be disgaced in most company.

The bike I bought is a 2006 Griso 1100 (2V/cyl) 30,000km new! Only mod so far by previous owner is the custom reverse cone muffler which has a nice bark with a little back cackle. Will hopefully kit with a small screen or bikini, and when I go on tour, some leather luggage. Any comments on latter would be mucho apprecio!

I feel a little in awe with my stocker late model with so many beautiful examples here from the early seventies on. Hopefully my Griso will age as gracefully as the other Geese on this thread. ;-T

Under new ownership. For health reasons, Tom decided to sell it. Now Jan owns it.

After seven years as a member of the NE Ohio Moto Guzzi Club, I thought it was about time to buy one of the dammed things. 2001 Jackal. Picked it up 18 April.
