She knows that motorcycles and the riding is important to me.  I'm the lucky one that she understands and puts up with it.  I've been on the Rosso lately and the Daytona wins once in awhile.  Mauri likes the fact that I do the cooking so that helps in my favor. ;D

Wow Tom! All I can say is you have a lovely wife and you certainly are one he** of a cook! ;-T ;D

Yes folks, I've had the pleasure!

My pleasure John Henry.  Looking forward to it for the Virginia National.  Maybe a return trip to the Japanese restaurant for sushi.

I've owned 3 Guzzis in the past 33 years. Bought a T3 in London in 1977 and toured UK & Europe for two years, then shipped the bike tp New York for a 4-month ride in the States, before returning home. Then bought an '83 SP I, which I owned for 19 years & rode msotly round my island home of Tasmania.. Current bike is a Breva 1100. Hoping to get away to " the other island" for a few weeks "soon".

Hi Brian

Rubbed shoulders with your future king Frederick when he sailed in a world Dragon championship in Tasmania a few years ago. Mary makes headlines in papers & magazines here every week. Would liked to have visited Denmark on my T3, but it was an expensive country to visit back in the 70s when we were travelling on hard-earned English pounds.

There's lots of things I don't like about the new Breva - mainly its lack of handlebar & footpeg adjustment compared to the old bikes, plus it's soft suspension & bad manners at crawl speeds in traffic. But a wonderful engine.

What do you ride now ?

Hi Greg
My preferred ride is my 750 Targa - same mill as the V7C/B750/N750 etc, Just now I'm working on  Lario - could end up as my preferred ride. It has a few noticeable qualities.

I also have a V75C on the drawing board - an old small block C model, but with the 750 mill. That would be for touring.

My monster block dream is a Centauro or a Cal EV or III.

Denmark is an expensive country I agree - a Guzzi here is the basic price * 2.5. Basically you pay for 3 bikes and get one..... :-\  ...all taxes. But then a lot of other stuff is free ;D  Mary seems to enjoy it so far - but why wouldn't she - the royal family are our government authorized jetset - and they are popular at the same time. You can be proud of Mary  :)   She is together with the royal family a highly effective and profitable and noble representative for Denmark. She is in Canada just now with the crown prince for the Olympics. In spite of their privileges, I do not envy them their job - it's basically a 24/7 engagement of their time.

Ciao
Brian

Here's my 1989 Mille GT. Its the only bike I have now, and my first Guzzi.
I bought it about 2 years ago. In the cold months, she wears a Rifle Sport fairing.

Hey, Just bought a 2002 Guzzi Lemans with 17,000 miles - this model has the gray/red color scheme, not wild about that aspect of it, but what the heck.  What oil do you all recommend to run in this beauty!

Hey Jamie - Nice bike.  That oil question will open a can of worms........do a search and you can read for weeks.  Is this the same Red and Gray one we have seen listed the past few weeks?  FWIW I use that V-Twin Mobil 1 20w50 in my V11.

We like pic's!   ;)

Congrats,
Bob

Johnr: sorry for delayed response, been off air for a few days.

My island home of Tasmania (26,000 square miles - a bit smaller in size than Ireland) lies off the south east of the Australian mainland. We get a bit pissed off here when our state is omitted from the map of Australia (happens frequently), or when disparaging remarks are made about us being the poor relations of the "mainlanders". So we refer to the great land mass to our north as merely "the other island". Parochial, I know, but without us as an anchor, Australia would have drifted north, and become part of Indonesia !!
