2009 Griso w/upgraded brakes (HH pads), flyscreen, CF rear hugger, and Mistral pipe.  Have bags, but haven't put them on yet...

-Drew

I think there is no better looking bike than a Griso - especailly in black with CF mistralls.

Got any other pix of the bike?
From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉

No need to apologize for owning a small block. They are part of the Guzzi story as well as the monsters - a big part. They are just under appreciated and under recognized in the community. They are even thought by some to have saved Guzzi during the 70's and 80's.

A Duc is a small block too  ;)

You have a nice edition of the breed.

First post...

Just started this year riding bikes. Mostly loaners (honda cb600, bmw F800, etc)... Have been reading this forum for some time now... but never posted. Starting with a pic seems a nice way.

Trial post to see if I can get a pic up

The old girl and me on the Dragon and the Blue ridge NC
1985 Le mans 1000 I bought 2 years ago, this is what I wanted since I was 16 back in Israel.
Now I am proud American and finally I got what I want...well my wife said OK.
My first Guzzi was 650TT and I owned it for 3 years I loved that bike but Guzzi stop importing to Israel late 80's and I had to go Jap for a while. When I came to the USA late 96 I had a Suzuki for a while and then my Job situation was travel intensive (Marine engineer on Mega-yachts) and finally I bought the old girl and she will stay with me until the end.

Well well - a monster block Lario, and a nice one ;-T
Congrats and welcome to the mad house - truly bitten by the "bug" to the level of a lifetime sentence  ;D

I ride the smaller sister of your bike, the Lario. Many mixed emotions about that bike, but to me that's without consequence.
Your bike is a classic. Enjoy every minute you spend with her. She's a beaut, right color and everything.

Congrats on your citizenship and the proper choice of motorcycle.  I though I was looking at a picture of mine for a second.

Wouldn't it be cool to have a bunch of red big-block Larios together at once in the mountains?

Ride on.

Aha, another nice one!  Roman, I confess to showing your bike pictures to show friends what the LM IV looked like while I was waiting for my bike to arrive! Yours is a very nice example. ;-T

This bike looks awesome.....

Hey PhillyScott....... You're not the one that influenced my 1000S purchase 2 years ago at Fast by Ferracci's Chistmas gathering???
Red plug wires and short mufflers under the rear pegs, left side bar end mirror only? Right?

We need to meet, I'm in Lancaster (PA, not England)  What do you say? I'm in Philly in 1 hour.

This pic reminds me of many many miles I did on some of the older bikes I had...
The dampness, mist/fog, cold, rumbling of the bike, occasional ray of sunshine in the morning... best rides of my life IMO.

What i really wanted to say... good picture. :)

Only found a crappy one of mine... cameras on the phones were just kicking in back then

But alas - I am straying from the topic. Here are the current bikes:
1979 Yamaha XS 1.1 (XS Eleven Standard in the US)

1984 army V35 II

1998 Cali EV

Since everyone has their list of bikes in their sig... and it seems useful, here we go:
1979 Yamaha XS 1100
1984 Moto Guzzi V35 II
1998 Moto Guzzi California EV
2001 Aprilia RST1000 Futura

'74 850T. I've had it since '84 as a daily commuter but blow it out with a fast ride in the Rocky Mountain foothills once in awhile. Have done all maintenance myself. Engine and transmission have never been apart -- they're bulletproof -- but the bike has been down a few times, knocked down in parking lots and in low-speed encounters with oblivious SUV drivers. Fork tubes and triple-tree replaced this past spring along with front brake and a lot of electrical renovation. Will probably keep it forever. Also have a '67 Triumph in boxes, awaiting restoration, and a Yamaha TA-125 I used to race and converted to electric drive two years ago with a 48-v golf cart motor.
70 Triumph TR6R, 74 850T, 74 Yamaha TA125, 89 Mille GT, 99 F650, 2013 Yamaha XT250
Gone: 59 Piper Comanche 250, 69 Harley/Aermacchi 350SS, 71 Honda CB500/4, 74 Laverda 750 SF2, 91 Suzuki VX800, 50cc two-stroke scoot, 83 XR350R
