Wow. You obviously have much experience and I would appreciate your thoughts about when that sort of rupture might be expected. Or was it random?

Sharp rock on gravel road?Experienced that driving fast on theDenali highway in AK.The roadhouse did a steady tire repair business.Tire was like new.

 A few miles before I was on a dirt road with a lot of pot holes all over it so I hit a few. Lucky for me it popped right before I started into a badly maintained forest road. I was only 15 minutes from our house so I just called my wife to get me.
