Givi 140a windscreen on V7 850 Special
« on: November 23, 2024, 03:53:39 PM »
I was looking for a windscreen for my 2023 V7 850 Special, and I finally took a chance on the Givi 140a clear windscreen and the Givi AL8206A Windshield Fit Kit.

Everything fit perfectly, and I'm happy to report that the windscreen protects my chest and seems to divert the wind to my neck and the outer sides of my shoulders.  I wear an Arai Ram-X 3/4 helmet, and the wind noise is about the same level as no screen.  I don't notice any buffeting of my helmet.

Here are some pictures of the screen on my bike.

I forgot to add my height: 5' 9"  and my build is what used to be called "stocky" 🙃 pardon the messy driveway.

Here's an eye-level pic sitting on the bike:

So far I like the windscreen!

Got one on my V7 850. Much better than a Dart Marlin. I added a Puig lip which kicks the air up even higher.

Nice! And it will probably help substantially in the rain.

Ha Ha...yes I ride in the rain on purpose. I would not CHOOSE to head out for a fun ride in the rain but if I am on a road trip and need to get to the next hotel I ride in the rain. Good rain gear is a must. On my way to Vermont in late August, from NJ, I hit the most horrendous weather on the way up. It was supposed to be good weather but the skies opened and the lightning bolts were crazy.
