50K on the Zed
« on: November 30, 2024, 01:55:14 PM »

I passed a minor milestone a few days ago.  Broke 50,000 miles while riding down to South Padre Island.   It is not a Guzzi, but I’m enjoying this bike immensely.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

I'm not big on inline 4 engines but my test ride on a Z900RS was impressive.   Kawasaki put a lot of design into the sounds from the bike.  The intake and exhaust sounds are intoxicating.

I actually considered one but they needed to hide the radiator cap with something.

That is easily a 200,000 mile drivetrain.

Ha! The original Zed, with Harry Klinzman aboard. You bet it’s a nice bike!

Concerning that less-than-stellar radiator design of the RS, ERMAX makes 'fins' to cover that area. You can even get them color-matched.

Swede knows a think or two about riding bikes into ‘forever’ territory. How many miles were put onto that V7 small block again??
