Try messaging member Chuck Peterson. He's from that area. He might know.

For 5300 plus rollerization cost... I am not sure it will worth it .
Just saying

Good luck

Looks like a nice bike with low miles on it.  I think that $5300  is not a bad price for this bike especially with the bags and other stuff on it.
Just my opinion.

Good assumption that it hasn't been rollerized, but has anyone checked?

I'm maybe 5 miles from that bike, been looking at that ad for a while and wondering about it.  I'll try to contact the owner tomorrow. What are the correct questions to ask about rollerization?

Just a side note while we're finding out about rollerization ....

If you want to know why many people do NOT like AirHawk seat pads, have a look at the one on this bike.   It's pumped up to about 10 times the pressure it should be, and if you rode it, you'd be wallowing all over the seat going down the road ... They're supposed to have just a TINY bit of air in them, just enough to take a little weight off on the "hot spots", not enough to remove you from contact with the seat ....

Nicely equipped low mileage bike, though.   Hope it's been updated.

There is a phone # , the op should call and ask.
It looks a very well maintained motorcycle. The owner might not be aware of the roller tappet issue otherwise it would have mentioned it .
Same when someone is selling a loop frame bike not mentioning if the chrome bore issue has been addressed.

just a note to the op , that model of Stelvio has a smaller gas tank than the more modern NTX Stelvio.....

Like the AD says : Do your own research to learn more.

Here's another 2010 for comparison, looks like the op is a fair deal. If it were rollerized in time.

Things to check.

Is it rollerised?

Are the front axle clamps intact.

Have the swingarm bearings and shock linkage ever been inspected and greased?

Rollerising a 'C' kit, small tank Stelvio requires removal of all the bodywork, is a King Sized PITA and is therefore fairly pricey.

If over-torqued the axle pinch bolts can snap the axle clamp castings. They are made of rocking horse shit.

If the bearings and linkage haven't been greased expect to have to replace them on a nine year old bike if it has ever been ridden in the rain.

Or not...I called the seller and got a voicemail that turned me off....guy sounded like the smartest guy in the room and anything I could ask would be a stupid question. First impressions aren't always accurate, but there might be a good reason why the bike hasn't sold yet.

Look elsewhere. There are lots of people who only believe what they want to hear. Sadly the reality is somewhat different. As others have said there are plenty more fish in the sea.

Still cheap enough, low miles, if you were going to ride it & own it long term.
