V700 breather box question
« on: January 19, 2015, 12:10:24 PM »
Painting a few parts and reassembling my (early VIN number) V700. Started sanding down the breather box and found these very crude brazings holding the two halves of the box together. Are these factory original or did someone open up the box later on and braze them back together?

Looks like it's been opened up to me. Is the check valve disc still intact? I've "cut and shut" to remove that when fitting the ball type valve.

Check valve disc is intact and appears to function fine
