Trouble starting - LM3 FIXED!

Went to "unwinterize" my LM 3 this afternoon, and I may have done something wrong.  Started with a fully charged battery and pulled the spark plugs and rotated the engine a few turns from the front.  Then I took a turkey baster and shot some oil into each hole.  I put the plugs back in and went to start it.  I may have not rotated the engine again - don't remember.     Anyhow, the left side was fine, but the right had popping and smoke coming out of the muffler.  Put a new, dry plug in the right, went to restart, and no joy (all oily).  I remember a thread on here about Boyle's Law (cylinder pressures and fluids).  Hoping I haven't bent a valve or anything.  Any advice appreciated.

If you induced more than a tablespoon full in to her, pull the plugs, open throttle wide and spin it over until the spurting stops! You could bend a connecting rod due to hydraulicing if too much lube is in the hole.  DonG

I will give this a try.  Thank you.  Hopefully no damage has been done.

Since the Le Mans III has Nigusil bores, you really didn't need to oil them any IMO. Maybe a squirt of made for the purpose "fogging oil", but that's all.

Pulled the plugs, and cranked the engine over a few times, (once at wide open throttle).  Stuck in 2 dry plugs and she fired right up.  Lesson learned, no more than a teaspoon of oil (a wee bit in a McDonald's straw and NO turkey baster!) or as Charlie says, none at all as my bores are Nigusil.  Thank you for the help everyone.  This is a great site and I'll be needing to mail Luap my yearly check soon.
