Wow, probably the best production valued "homemade" video I've seen.  450K subscribers and I've never heard of him?  I'll be searching his other videos.  Thanks, Shorty.

Having owned three of those things since 95 I have to agree with him.
I now have a Suzuki Van Van, Suzukis improved version of the TW.
Actually Suzuki Built the fat tired little bikes firsthand I had one of them in 71.
My Van Van carries a sidecar and is geared for about 50 mph top end and goes about 60 to 65 mpg. anywhere I want to go.

His videos are produced by FortNine https://fortnine.ca/en/ Kind of a Revzilla north. They are done really well and very honest reviews.

Good video!   :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: "...North America's last, true, farm bike..." :thumb:

In my old age, I want something like this for up here in Vortex-Land...the Suzuki Van Van 200 is another great candidate to consider...

I’ve owned four TW’s and I’m looking for a fifth.  If you can remove your ego from the riding experience there’s nothing more fun that cruising on a beach or under a power line on a TW.  If you have to be seen on a Panigale, KTM or GS1200...it’s not a bike you can understand.

This is one that I tried a bunch of aftermarket stuff on.  Clarke tank, Hyperpro springs front and rear, pivot pegs, Protaper bars, Tusk D-Flex hand guards, Seat Concepts seat, folding mirrors, DG exhaust, Baja Designs led round headlight, etc, etc, etc.

You can go crazy modding a TW and still spend less than you would for an exhaust on a Moto Guzzi.

Thanks for sharing this Shorty. Really cool! I had an '89 TW, still had the factory kick start but little else has changed. I fitted a larger tank from an XT350 and really had fun riding it. Commuting and playing on the gravel roads around here was great but even with a sprocket change it was no fun on the highway. It could hold 105kph but that's not where its comfortable nor what its meant for.
Some day I'll find another. I'd rather have a Nuovo Falcone (similar on road performance perhaps?) but at current prices a T-Dub is more realistically in my future.

I've had a couple over the years here on the farm. That was until I bought a used Yamaha 225 Sero. I found the Sero had better suspension and with skinnier tires, more bite on the ground. The fat TW tires were really bad in mud. So, I sold the TW's. Now I'm interested in this: https://flyfreesmart.com/smart-desert/ as a farm bike.

Funny-I saw that last night and thought it was remarkable. And also got me lusting for a farm bike.

But which one?

But which one?

Good question.  I considered the TW200, the Van Van, the XT250, and the Suzuki DR200. Ended up with the XT250, only because it was one owner, one year old, very clean, low miles (still around 2400), had some good extras and was 1/2 price of a new one, with a transferable extended warranty. (Guzzi content  :evil:I think the Van Van has the best seat and best looks. The XT is fuel injected and has a smidge more power and the best suspension out of the group. But, the TW200 is pretty damn cool too.

I am probably too old for any major off road stuff, but the XT250 is ideal to truck over to the mountains and do little 60 mile loops from camp. I flogged it down in the Winding Stairs last year at the Okie.  Never hit 70 mph, but the grin almost busted my face.

I bought a new Suzuki van van for my girlfriend last year whom with my encouragement learned to ride, fun little bike , but now she wants something bigger. I think I'll just keep it. I have a lot of fun riding dirt roads and trails with it. Any info on a good source for accessories for the Van Van? The dealer I bought it from was of no help. Also I'd like to see a pic of the one with the sidecar.

I would be happy to but I have lost the ability to post pictures.
By the way, a Van Van has a real saddle, not a 2x6.
