Bingo! kniepm - The vista house is about 30 miles east of Portland, which is in Oregon.
Hmmm..Vista House, Cedar Vale...Then off to Canada/Alaska, over to New York for a burger at the Statue, Twin Towers memorial (ask a few sticky questions) and try to get out alive..!Sounds like a good idea for a trip.
Silly question....but why are the bikes on the LHS of the road?I thought Oregon was in America and that you guys rode on the RHSANdyb
You need us Oregon guys to to help with the route through Oregon.. Need to get off of boring I-84 (Vista house) and get on some of the nicest motorcycle roads you will find anywhere.. (IMO)
Got it - poor resolution on this screenAndyB
You'll be fine Peter , but a quick look at a map might be helpful . Cedar Vale is in the middle of the country , do a bit of route planning and make the rally . If the very nice Sheila who worked in the local cafe is still around , you two can regale us with stories of OZ . Dusty
Might as well run through Kansas city and get a decent steak
Now THAT...! I do not doubt Also the Oz/Kansas connection is striking a chord.I'd love to turn up with the Wizard of Bungendore..(You may have heard of him..?)If that girl in the cafe had a nice blue and white dress on, it'd be a slam dunk..
Just bring the whole dang Ozzie contingent , we have room . We'll show you a world class museum just a few miles away , full of artifacts from AmIn culture , then visit the little museum in Cedar Vale , feed you BBQ on Fri night , catfish and hush puppies on Sat night , and introduce you to Midwest hospitality . Dusty
I always thought the first few hundred miles of I-84 were about the prettiest interstate I've traveled but I'm sure the locals know the really beautiful roads.
