The easy way to get rid of chicken strips
« on: January 01, 2019, 09:39:36 AM »
..... is to ride 2 miles with a deflating rear tire while you try and work out why the handling has gone tits up!

Most peculiar when the bike wont counter steer and feels like its steering from the back!
I went through wheel bearings and collapsed swing arm bearings (thanks Pete R!) before I stopped where the cause was obvious immediately

Couldn't get it to seal, so we came home in a recovery van

A shame though as it was a fantastic day for a ride

Yeah,  I  get what you're saying.  I was cruising along about 80mph on the EV.  When I got to town, the handling went to heck.  It seemed like there was something wrong with the front end.  I pulled over and checked and found no problems.  The bike was fine in a straight line.

Got home and unloaded,  I tried to push the bike in garage, felt it drag, and finally saw the rear tire was totally flat.

I never suspected the rear tire was the problem.

I did plug the tire and ran it another year, until this happened.

But the plug held.

TPMS.
Real time temp and pressure with warning alarm.
About$65.
Squirmy feeling and you are not quite sure if it's tire pressures or road surface?
A quick glance can be comforting it's not tires.
