Lets hope no one sees the inside of one.  :)
The mighty KLR thumper with it's 35 real world hp is a ticket trap.  Too easy and comfortable to do 62 mph in a 45 zone.  The officer gave me a warning, not a ticket, probably because when I took off my helmet I was laughing and because I'm a non-threatening fat old man.  I'm glad he didn't get me a mile earlier when I was doing 70 in that zone.

We had a nice talk about the diner down the road, too.  If anyone is in Hundred, West by god Virginia, make sure you stop at the Rt 250 diner.  Good stuff.

The Police car one, reminded me of my first ticket on a bike. In 1978, my 2 buddies and I left out from Bessemer Al and rode up to Harpers Ferry, camped once on the way in Chattanooga, then Highway 81 the majority of the way. The next morning, after repairing a flat tire, we went the entire Skyline/BRP to Pigeon Forge for the night. A dramatic example of Youth's endurance, a lack of understanding of death due to fast riding on curvy roads and God's protection of fools AND children. The last day on homeward leg, just before leaving NC, we were having a spirited triple digit blast, when we passed an NC trooper headed the other way. If we had ran, he would have never caught us as it was a 4 lane and he had to go a bit to turn around. We stopped and waited for him lol, and when he asked us why we stopped as we were crossing into Tennessee, we explained that our Dads were police and we understood the program. We took pics as he was writing our grossly reduced speeding tix, and it was a funny thing. Except for the $105 fine that was hard money to find back then..

Thought I'd revive this thread and see if there is any interest.

Grab-O!!  In Point Marion PA.

Warmed up to 40F so ok to ride. For now. :)

I’m embarrassed to say that I’ve never eaten at that diner. I’m a greasy spoon aficionado.

In case anyone is wondering how to play (everyone is invited), it's easy.  Blackcat rode to a vista and snapped a picture.  That's the tag.  In turn, I'll ride to the best vista that I can find.  Living in hilly country, I just do the best that I can.  Vista of Morgantown, WV:

That's my grab.  I then ride somewhere that I think would make a good tag.

New tag. Holiday decorations.

Easy peasy. The idea is not to stump everyone. Just find something that gets folks out riding. 40 + Fahrenheit here today but not sure how much riding I’ve get left this year. :)

Good one, Charlie.  You must've been a bit chilly.  We went for a hike today and it was definitely brisk out there.

43 and cloudy when I left this morning at 11 am. Sunny and 53 by time I stopped for lunch, dropped to 40 by time I got home. Fingers and toes a bit cold was all. No heated gear.

A little warmer than here.  I find that in the 40's is ok if I have heated grips.  Less than that and I'm hurting.

Grab, An old auto dealer. Geeting Auto. Opened 1914 in West Manchester, Ohio. No extra points for me, just a plain jane Ford Dealership.

The original building

Tag, An old bridge. Geeting Covered Bridge, 100' span crossing the Price Creek. Constructed in 1894, one of eight covered bridges in Preble County, Ohio.

The temperature was in the low 40's but a nice sunny day. My fingers were very cold but I enjoyed getting outside with a purpose. I'm a little depressed with the onset of winter so this was good therapy.

Grab,

It was a beautiful day (42F) and we saw lots of beautiful farm country, but the only other picture I took was of friends.  So Friends is the new tag.  Unless I can go back a few days?  What are the rulz?

“Friends” works fine. I believe the official ADVRider rules state that you must ride to get the tag but a Saved photo can be used to set the new tag. Your bike must still appear in the Saved photo, of course.

Bizarrely warm weather coming up this weekend so I can still ride.

Grab, Maverick is one of my friends who always enjoys a ride in the tub. He is an eight year old Black Lab.

Tag, A piece of military equipment.

My son tells me this is a short barrel, 75 mm M4 Sherman Tank, which dates it to pre 1944. This tank is on display at the Fort Sinclair Park in Eaton, Ohio. I smelled fuel while on a ride yesterday and discovered a split hose on the tank crossover, todays ride was a shakedown after replacing all the hoses. Temperature was in the mid 40's with lots of sunshine making an enjoyable outing.

Thanks for the tag, and let me offer a warning about the crossovers. They have a habit of coming apart, dumping raw fuel on the rear tire, and if you are in a corner when it happens it's like the rear tire hitting glare ice. A really big fire rages while you and the bike are laying on the side of the road. Don't ask me how I know..
