SHAD is one of the few manufacturers actually doing anything new in the last ten years or so. Their build quality is among the better, certainly between Givi's top line and its Kappa mid-range.
The one issue I'd see with this design is potential for water infiltration, particularly when highway-speed winds drive the rain against the joint. If they can control that, it's a worthy innovation for those liking larger trunks - but only 'big enough'.
