Norge Starter removal +

 Wanting to add emergency quick start button before I need to on my 07 Norge with nearly 50 K miles.   I have the waterproof start button and double male adapter for the solenoid to wire to + side of battery but cannot seem to reach it under the fairing body. 

Q:  Must the side fairing be removed to access the starter to get to solenoid spade?   Is there an easier way?  Never took off fairing body surrounding tank area.

Yes, already has "Startus Interuptus fix.

Yes, they come off, one side then belly then other side. They go back on same way, one side then belly then other side.

Already ride with lowers and belly pan off.  Still cannot reach starter. Part of frame blocks getting to solenoid.

Tight fit but it comes back & swings out on back of starter, have to pull back into shifting arrangement & disconnect the wires.

That side plate comes loose w/3-4 bolts, disconnect shifter before tacking off.

My Norge does not have the lowers, but I can get my starter off without removing the footpegs mounting plate.
Just the plastic cover.
Undo the electrical connections.
Two bolts and it falls off onto the floor.

Thanks Huzo,   Me & some needle nose SHOULD overcome.. I said "should" Just need to get to the solenoid wire connector.

Yeah, that connector is a bit frail.
I think I replaced mine with a more stout one, if I didn’t, I should have.
