Title: Sipea Neiman ignition switch dissassembly
Post by: Semitone on May 17, 2022, 08:01:07 PM
Hello folks. I lost the key for my ‘75 850t and removed the Sipea Neiman ignition switch with the intention of pulling the tumbler to bring to a locksmith to get a key made, but there is a spring loaded pin from the tumbler that is engaged in a hole in the ignition housing that I can’t push in to release tumbler. Am I right to assume that you actually can’t remove it without the key? If so, do I have any options other than replacing the switch? Many thanks, Paul

Pretty sure you need the key to depress that spring loaded pin.

Here's some information that might help (or not).

Thanks ACC. I already reached out to Greg and he said he thought it was possible, but has never done it. P
