Time for a rear shock replacement

As I have removed the rear fork from my 1992 Daytona, I removed the Koni as well. I think it has been sitting there since the bike was born. Looks OK and doesn't leak, but it must be shot by now 

Any suggestions on which replacement I should go for ?
Koni does not make dampers for bikes any more, then there are WP which were used on the RS, I think, but not sure if it will fit ?

All the Koni tooling and designs were sold Whollus Bollus to 'Proven Products' in Albury NSW, Australia. They can probably supply an overhaul kit for your shock or sell you a new one if you are satisfied with its performance.

Yes, sorry, I wasn't clear. Koni shocks are now manufactured as 'IKON' by Proven Products in Albury.

What about WP ? If it has got an external expansionchamber (Piggyback) will it then fit the ordinary Daytona ?

Yup, that Race Tech. They offer full rebuild services for forks and shocks, and also have their own line of products. I don't know if the WP shock will fit, but I'd think it would.
