81 Lemans III Custom Café

[Scoozi My Guzzi]

Hello Forum, friends, about 16 years ago my son and I turned a basket case 850 T into a lovely café racer. Drawing on those fond memories, last weekend my son purchased a 1981 Lemans III that has been heavily customized to café standards. He bought it in Brussels Belgium, with no history other than we understand it was sold new in the Netherlands, then in a private collection for a long time. It is quite a distinctive build, so I wonder if anyone on this forum has seen it or knows anything about it. Thanks for checking it out.

It's a very pretty machine with some nice details. There are hundreds of Guzzi's that have received a similar treatment. you may want to look at the engine #to see if it has a VF prefix.

What would the VF prefix signify?

VF signifies it's a LeMans3 motor. Things often get changes on customs. The fella who sold me my lemans 3 wanted to do a 1100 motor swap.
