I began the hunt for a disc to replace the one that's bent by about .010 "

Everybody wants to sell me a pair. I'm going to continue the hunt, but please let me know if you have a source for a single.

Thanks - Norman

I have a pair that i was going g to use on my jackal. Don't know what they are worth. Shipping might be more than they are worth.

Have you looked on Ebay?

Triple Jim:
Norman, one of my Mille disks is out about 0.012".  I made some shims from brass shim stock and got it within a couple thou, and it works perfectly well.  I shimmed something like 0.008 on the worst place, and then thinner shims as it gets around to the other side, no shims on the last one.  Disks don't have to perfect in the side to side wobble direction, it's the thickness that's critical.

Spain has 'em for $277. I'm looking for stock, which may be my mistake. Just came back from a stroll through this forum six years ago, and there is much reference to aftermarkets made by Todd. The consensus seems to be that the stock disc was not designed to last forever. Add to that somebody along the way bent this one significantly - at least that's what I've been given to understand.

Well that would be amusing to try, and certainly within my price range. If I were to camp out for an afternoon at my freedive mentor's place, where there's a dial indicator on a magnetic base, I could play some games.
