Hey guys/gals,
I am thinking about installing the Scitsu tachometer on the V7 III Stone and have some questions. This is how it looks and here is the link to the site.

There are three power options: Standard (internal rechargeable battery), PP3 External and Bike Battery. I would obviously like it to run off the bike battery (12V?) and I am assuming this would be possible with little modification? Also from the sparks per rev colour code below I would assume to order the Brown? Is that correct?
White 1 spark per 2 revs ( e.g. single 4 stroke )
Red 1 spark per rev ( e.g. single 2 stroke )
Blue 2 sparks per rev (e.g. 4 cylinder 4 stroke )
Green 3 sparks per rev (e.g. 3 cylinder 2 stroke )
Orange 3 sparks per 2 revs (4 stroke triple)
Brown 1 spark per rev (uneven) (Some V twins e.g 45 degree crank)
Yellow 1 spark per 2 revs (Magneto 4 stroke single)
Black 1 spark per rev (Magneto 4 stroke twin)
Also one last thing how difficult would a project like this be? I think I could do it but not sure if anyone else has done something like this before and can give me some tips and if something like this can even be done on the Stone? Seems to me it is very doable but any help would be greatly appreciated. :thumb:

I think you need to order a 'red' type tacho—judging by the table on their website under the "Common Fitment" tab. I can't help with the rest of your queries, as I'm colour blind and steer away from any major electrical work on my bikes.
I'm sure others will be along shortly to help you out in that regard.

I would say White, i spark for every two revolutions (I assume it will be triggered from just one of the two coils so treat it like a 4 stroke single.
In their example
Rotax twin, Guzzi V twins, they are looking at a guzzi with a single coil and a distributor like an old Loop Frame
The 8,000 RPM model will be perfect.
