Title: V 85 triangle of death.
Post by: Huzo on September 08, 2021, 12:55:42 AM
Today I was heading home on the V85 and the dreaded triangle of death illuminated.
It’s thrown a PO704-invalid signal warning and I looked it up as “clutch switch input circuit malfunction”.
I stopped the bike and upon restart it had cleared.
I looked on Guzzidiag when I got home and it was in the “stored fault” table.
I’ll clear it.

I swear I don’t know if this feature is a blessing or a curse.
Thoughts ?

I experienced similar issues on my Cali 1400.  It was intermittent.

They share the same 7SM ECU, so it could be relevant.

The clutch switch is a double throw type, but half of it was flakey. Finally was able to nail it down, but a replacement was expensive and unavailable at the time.

I found a Burgess one that was similar physically to the original. If you keep having issues, ping me and I'll send you the details.

Thanks KD.
I had just washed it so could have been water ingress.
