2000 V11 Sport clutch pushrod removal
« on: July 14, 2021, 12:16:37 PM »
Hi,

I have a 2000 V11 sport with a noisy (I assume) clutch pushrod bearing. Squeezing the clutch lever in and releasing several times (bike running in neutral) changes/eliminates the noise for a brief period.

I think this noise is the pushrod bearing. Having removed the rear wheel and unbolted the shock: I can likely get the clutch slave off, but am unclear as to weather I would be able to extract the pushrod and bearing without somehow removing the swingarm - which I hope I don't have to remove.

Has anyone had this experience?

Once you have the slave cyl off the hole is much bigger circumference, stick in a magnet stick and pull plunger body, bearing, rod cup in front.  Should be enough room and can angle it out if need be. Not all 1 piece but 3 in there. Might want to source the oring on slave also before reassembly.

Guzzisteve - Thank you for the info. I will give it shot over the weekend and see what I find in there. I am hoping the grumpy noises are coming from the pushrod bearing
