The Honda with the blower in the roof:  I know someone with a Ford Escape that looks just like it (minus the blower.)  Just enough room to sit behind the steering wheel.

It's a safe bet that Jimmy Hoffa was buried somewhere in that Honda.

In the early 80s for a bit I was a commission sales person in a department store automotive area. Some of the shop techs occasionally did some scratch your head stuff but as a person whose main career was in special ed. and adult with disabilities the general public required much more patience and are more difficult to interact with.

Many stories from automotive service days, here's but one. Fella brought in an older Pontiac Catalina early 70s car big, huge trunk, early in the spring first 9really hot day in a week or two of warm days 80-90 degrees. Two tires, replace the spare and put them on the front. Busy day working tire department in pairs today Chris goes to get spare as I set hoist. Out of the corner of my eye I see Chris go down, flat on his back. Go around back to see what's gone wrong, key in trunk lid but it's closed, Chris comes to says don't open trunk. Chris goes to locker room to recover, group gathers to find out what happened, boss unlocks trunk opens lid, full of rotting food. Owner comes along about now and apologizes, he had experienced a power failure in the winter and put food from freezer in trunk of his non winter car and completely forgot. Two tires went on the front saved best for later spare change. About the worst I've seen or smelled.

Read an article in Popular Science as a kid, where the editors took a good running car and reversed two plug wires at the distributor cap. Then they took it to a bunch of shops in the Midwest to see if the mechanics in the shops would correctly troubleshoot the problem with the rough running engine. They were very surprised that only one in five figured it out. They were also surprised at the large number of shops that said the motor was toast and needed a full (expensive) rebuild...

That was the best video that I had seen in some time, I quit wrenching years ago and it was a good reminder of the mess that people make. My favorite Customer States was a company truck was sent in with ...customer states 4x4 does not work. One half of the transfer-case had been sheared off like it had been cut with a saw. The owner had to come in and see it for himself.

I saw a pickup rear end that had the pinion bearing fail and the owner continued to drive it for hundreds, if not thousands, of miles.

The pinion had worn through the bearing race and into the differential housing;  it had about 1.5 inches of radial play.

Just rolled in is an awesome channel to subscribe to. My bro in law is a mechanic in a small shop. He relates stories to us like this all the time. Its amazing how ignorantly folks treat their vehicles. Funny too when you aren't the one paying for it.
yeah, I might be addicted to brake fluid. But I can stop any time I want.
