Chuck, I'm glad it all went well and I hope you'll be home soon and back to doing all that good work. It's an inspiration!

I'm assuming the Doctor did everything according to the "Acceptable Methods, Techniques, and Practices - Chuck Inspection and Repair - EA-AC 43.13"

I know the feeling. I had one of my kidneys ripped out a few years back. Still got my prostate. Look at the bright side, next time you visit your urologist, he won't get that evil grin on his face as he pulls on the glove!

Thanks, Gary.. actually, Rosie is being kept by a friend in Southern Indiana. He'd fallen in lust with her, and kept calling about various V11s he'd found. Finally, I told him, "for that kind of money, you could have Rosie." He said, "OK." Oops. At any rate, he had a Skorpion basket case that I've redone, and I'm planning on taking it out to Socal and bringing the Mighty Scura back this summer. The cutter says, "Maybe. There's a lot of healing going on in your motorcycle riding area.." We'll see.

I was thinking about what kind of door you might want. There are a few nice wood options out there, but I figured you being a machinist and all, you might prefer something more like this:

Of course you could do a much better job of this, but it is a good starting point. Probably a lockable latch to protect your valuables. Oh, and don't forget to put the hinge in the front. You wouldn't want it flying open when moving forward while riding nekid on the Aero Lario.

Just a heads up. If you ever have major surgery, don't leave the hospital with out making *sure* you bowels have woken up. 5 hours in the er yesterday followed by my most miserable night in memory. Don't say I didn't warn you.
