I think I want people to think I'm quirky, I just love the cut and thrust of that sort of dialogue.

Oh we already know you are quirky

I have heard many speak their hearts here...now I speak:

I believe that if we all keep listening to the Great Twin Vibration and following the Guzzi Way, the sacred force fields that support the Perfect Highway to the Perfect Campground will reveal themselves and the 100% gasoline and 10W-60 will flow like milk and honey...I have spoken.

Just a group that likes K.A. bikes.  More of an enlightened bunch than a brainwashed herd.

Around what?!?

I can't solve all of the problems  Actually , the old highway that connected many of the small towns in SE Kansas was really curvy , small remnants of it remain and are quite fun . Unfortunately the new 166 highway bypasses many of the little villages , and runs straight as a ruler

You should try from Kansas to Oz. I saw someone do it in a 2 bedroom cottage on a movie once, plenty of curves on the yellow brick road, I'll introduce you to the "Wizard" !!!

If you want to enjoy more curvy roads than you can handle with not much traffic to deal with you need to ride in norCal.  And I'm not talking about on flat land.  I'm talking about on more mountains than maybe you've ever seen in 1 place.  So many primo roads it will take you weeks to enjoy them all.  Some tight, some high speed.

Asterix?

Some one else commented earlier on your amazing ability to come up with razor sharp, appropriate graphics, no matter what the subject,,, I have to concurhttp://wildguzzi.com/forum/Smileys/default/bow.gif I grew up in small town Quebec,,, I can't believe you found a picture of TinTin on a guzzi, lol!!

To the OP, cult has too much, of a negative connotation,,,imho, we're all cut from different cloth,,, but from the reading I've done here, absorbing the vast variety of talents and skill sets possessed by the members over a wide spectrum,,,I do see some common threads.

I would say, that most of us, are passionate enthusiasts of motorcycles, with a special appreciation for the MG,,, but that passion plays out in other areas as well.

For myself,,, I'm not much of a fisherman,,, but when I do fish,,, I flyfish, and I tie my own flies.

I don't hunt much any more,,, but I consider myself a traditional bow hunter,,, I still love throwing arrows usually at least once a week a,,, when I do,,, I 'm shooting arrows I made.

I sing and play a lot of guitar,,, but when I play guitar,,, I don't strum,,, I finger pick,,, with a very simplified Travis/Prine style,, and I do so, in my very own unique way.

Whatever I enjoy doing,,, I enjoy doing well,,, and as passionately as I am able,,, that plays out in my love for motorcycles,,, in particular for MG. I see this quality playing out with what appears to be, most of the members on WG, be it motorcycles or something else.

I don't want to join in the other cult post re HD,,,, warning thread drift,,,,but in my experience,,, for years, I always had a very negative opinion of HD bikes and their riders,,, but from the time I got back into bikes 4 yrs ago,,, I'm seeing a lot of posers on all makes,,, but I'm also seeing lots of HD riders,,, who I feel a kinship with,,, similar to the kinship I feel here,,, some of them are very intimate, knowledgeable and involved with the mechanics of their bike,,,or at least aspiring to be, and there are many HD riders, far more skilled than I,,, and just as passionate,,, putting in lots of miles every year,,, through all types of weather,,, fwiw ymmv

Traditional bow hunter hits a nerve!  I once retrieved a buck in my cedarstrip canoe (Bob's Special), that I shot with a longbow hybrid of my design and build using wood arrows.  I was also using a paddle of my design and build.  LOL

I sang amazing grace paddling in, but doubt I was near any cult status.

Props to anyone who can take any deer let alone a buck with a traditional bow,,, respect on building your own bow,,, something I always wanted to do.

I like the way wood arrows fly out of my longbows,,, but for my consistency, I shoot aluminum shafts.

I love canoes and am familiar with that model,,, never paddled a cedar strip, my canoe is a Scott Whitewater Kevlar with a shoe keel, based on a prospector design.

I have a love for woodworking,,, but not overly blessed in the skill department,,, I'm sure your experience paddling or shooting experiences go up a couple of notches, with something made by your own hands.

With enough whiskey and cigarettes, your singing of amazing grace,,, just might make it up to cult status,,, it's my secret weapon, lol.

Tks for the reply, reaffirms my observations.
