Yes, but if you know the circumference to within a millimetre, you must know the diameter to within circumference/Pi
If the tolerance of circumference is x, then the tolerance in the diameter is x/3.1416......

Ahyway, March 14 is also the birthday of my girlfriends mam  :thewife:.... who, to continue the trend, is a nuclear scientist... a Russian nuclear scientist no less, spent time in Cuba in the 60-ies an everything  :huh:   same for my GFs dad, guy was in the US to check US kept their part of the treaty to decommision nukes...

Did you know the ratio of the length of the channel of a meandering river, compared to the straight-line length from its head to its mouth, tends to the value of pi in idealized conditions? Me either.
