cycle innovations selector return spring

Does anyone have any reports on the cycle innovations 5 speed selector return spring that's in this old tractor new topics section, some photos and fitting instructions is all I can find , any body used them, are they good, are they still available ?????   Thanks Ray

If you have a broken return spring, then replace it. Don't be tempted to use an external spring. I've seen a lot damage to transmissions from the broken off piece of the spring getting into places where it shouldn't.

Thanks Charlie, I dont have a broken spring and would definitely remove it if i did have but was more interested would you be better off installing this device after having removed the spring and leaving it as a permanent fixture, There doesnt appear to be any history on this devise and a search isn't revealing any one that's tried it . Ray
