A hero's send off
« on: June 07, 2016, 06:43:59 AM »
I like listening to a particular morning radio show, this morning there was a story about a search and rescue dog named Bretagne . A 16 year old Golden Retriever ,passed recently, given a hero's send off, she had served selflessly in several disasters . It made me mist up just a little . So long old girl , and thanks

Last known remaining Sept. 11 search & rescue dog. Indeed, thanks are in order.

On a somewhat related note:

Then again, when I was watching Predator I didn't think two members of its cast would become governors, either. So you never know.

..... or the moon landing in 1969 - wait - was that real?
I'd much rather ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.

As a dog owner . I had to  put one dog down 8 years ago. Still unbearable to watch.
