Y'ep, they have the 4 seasons but their Winters seem to be harsher than most other places.

Coldest City? BUFFALO, after we lost our FORTH in a row.

It’s pretty darn CD here in Winter, all 8 months of it! Edmonton Alberta Canada is one of the most northern major cities with a population of a million or more. There was a couple guys who rode year round here, I saw their bikes parked outside of the funeral home they worked in on my drive home, true storey! One bike was a KLR 650 and the other a small Suzuki cruiser style bike.

It is cold enough in Northern Scandinavia.

But there is actually one bird which will migrate here at winter times (all the others will migrate south, escaping our winters). This one comes from Siberia.
Just because our biggest rivers will stay open, no matter how cold it'll come here.
This small fellow will dive into ice cold water (then temperature is -30C), many many times per day. To catch the food.

Strömstare (Cinclus cinclus in Latin). You're right. Some of these arrives from Northern Norway to Finland. Most of them still from Russia.
Year around here lives some 250 - 300 birds, but winter times we have almost 10 000.

Can you eat them? :food: My guess is yes. :boozing:

I guess so, but please don't.
Deep fried, with lots of batter, you can eat most things.....
