I like this bag because it perfectly fits my laptop and lunch for commuting to work. Of course SW Motech doesn't make SLC carrier mounts for our bikes but a little ingenuity fixed that. I got an aluminum bar and used some spacers to bolt it to the OEM luggage rack points then got an SLC carrier for the BMW R12 and bolted it to the bar. It survived its first test ride and I think it should hold up long term. I'll need to paint it black at some point...

since I have dropped every bike I've ever owned in either my garage or driveway, I'd use a piece of steel instead of Al for that mount.

Thanks! And that's a good suggestion. I actually bought a bar in steel too but it was taking an eternity to try and drill through it. I just discovered sendcutsend.com so I think I'll try drawing up a better version and having them make it. Either way, the current setup has been holding up just fine.
