What's cheap about it? It's a 5 year old motorcycle

Well I personally wouldn't want it, but if someone was looking for such a thing, I haven't seen basically a new one listed for less.

That's a GOOD PRICE? Cause in this area I kinda feel like it wouldn't sell.

I know it's not exactly the same thing, but I see NEW leftover V7 II and III Stones going for about that around here.

Since it is not mentioned in the add... Where is the strap that goes on the tank?

Not sure Ive seen a modern V7 of any style under 6K around here. then agean you find almost zero guzzis at all for under 3...   of any year. I guess its all about location.

I wouldn't have a clue as to it's "value"..
But I do know for sure that it's "worth" what you think it's worth.
For the record I think it's lovely. Is that the same as GG's ?
My Norge is worth $25,000 and it's market value is about 6 Grand..
All the text book experts in the world can put their opinions together and nail them to the toilet wall next to the toilet paper, because when you slide on to the seat on a beautiful Autumn morning and hear the bark of the exhaust, I'll wager that the value becomes unquantifiable.. :bike-037:

Experience verses conjecture.

I cannot tell you how many times in the 3 years I had the V7R f/s I heard the standards when priced at $5,000 "your bike is a great deal" "I'm surprised this hasn't sold yet" "lot of bike for the money" "If I had the money I'd buy the bike" "this won't be around long at this price".

It didn't generate any buyers until it was priced over 33% lower and then it generated exactly 1 person of interest in several weeks of being listed mutiple places. Even trying trading the V7R every dealer was very upfront and said they did not want it and would offer wholesale auction price because that where it was going if we made a deal. Wholesale auction price was $2,500.

When you can buy a new V7 series bike in the 6K range a used bike no matter how little used isn't going to bring near the same amount. As always the seller can ask what they want the buyer will determine the value.

If it was the year with both the green and chrome fuel tanks, and closer to me I might be interested.  Without the strap, and with 1700 miles it is not anywhere near new and the fact that the guy wrote that makes me skeptical about any transaction with him/her.

It also has the "dealer key on key" that's worth at least $600 right there.

Even if it had 0 miles on it the tires are still at least four years old and no longer at there best, it does not have warranty like a new bike and you don't know how it has been run in. His comment about this being a new bike certainly paints himself as a talker, therefore I would have little faith in anything else that comes out of his mouth.

Also the first time you go for a bike ride and double its miles it is just a second hand 2014 bike that you have on your hands.

I think I paid $3800 (?) for my 2009 V7C a few years back (CL sale)

He was actually shocked that I showed up! He said that nobody came by after the electronic tire kicking. I test rode around the block, fell head over heels in love, paid the man, and promptly rode off before he could change his mind Haha!. I absolutely adore that bike.

Decent price butt you're giving up a fair amount.

A 2017 V7-111 here in California is $7,000 with Ohlins, more speeds, more horsepower, a warranty and more femur room.

Of course you give up the chrome tank .....
